One of my first projects in the Steampunk Genre was this long lamp. It was done before I did much in the way of documenting my work so what follows are just some galleries of the work in progress as well as the finished piece.
I used an old telescope tripod to create this lamp. The rod is standard copper pipe that has been embellished with brass rod with ring accents. The counter weight is hidden inside old computer hard drive disks stacked together.
I used the half ring from a vintage Earth globe as the support to the lamp itself. A steel cable provides added support and stability.
These are some pictures of the completed lamp. In the upper left picture you can see it in the living room before it was redone in the Steampunk style.
